I had an emergency CS and my bp went very low and stayed low (around 80s/50s). Was readmitted with sepsis , had ABs , went home and had a big bleed Friday night. In a and e my bp was 167/149 (???!) but it must have calmed once I went to the maternity area as they checked me over and took bloods and sent me home after a few hours. Ive been keeping an eye on my bp as i dont feel right and its shot up again. Is this likely to be a not good machine (seems accurate enough) or can something still be wrong with me to make my bp do this? I feel abit silly calling because i have to go via 111 and they always want to send an ambulance and on friday night i was sent home again ....

Were you tested for pre-eclampsia at all? Did they test your urine? I literally developed pre eclampsia during labour. Normal bp until labour and then stayed high. I ended up being on 14 tablets a day to control it but weaned off of them over the 6 weeks post birth and now have normal bp without the need for meds. Have you got a headache, swelling or any visual problems at all?

Also, make sure you take it a good few times at home for an accurate reading. If you get a few readings still that high though then you should ring 111 for advice.
