..were examined internally at your 6 week check up? I wasn't (was bouncing a screaming baby at the same time but would have liked a cursory glance at least) even though I mentioned a feeling like having a tampon in the wrong place. In retrospect I should have pushed for one, but was feeling super tired and stressed.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who had this type of feeling and whether it went away or if its a sign that All Is Not Right. The GP I saw said to come back if something (?!) fell out and spent longer out than in. The expectations of my health post birth seem incredibly low Sad. Is this something I need to get onto straight away, or should I keep at the kegels for a few months and see what happens?

How many weeks / months postpartum are you? Are you breastfeeding? I would recommend seeing a woman's health physio. They will do an internal examination to see how strong your pelvic floor is and whether there are any signs of prolapse.

I am gobsmacked that your GP told you to come back if anything came out! If there is a slight prolapse, you want to start making changes now. Such as pelvic floor exercises, core training (as recommended by your physio) and being careful about what and how you lift.

Download the Squeezy app - it is very informative and will list registered woman's health physios in your area. If you find out something isn't quite right, look up Hypopressive exercises also. Good luck x

Thank you for this info, really useful and good to know I'm not overreacting! I'm now 9 weeks post partum and yes, breastfeeding. I'll definitely get a physio appointment then, and take a look at the app. Thanks again x
