So my doctor has changed my baby's milk to nutramigen as she thinks he may have a cows milk allergy but since I've given it to him he seems in absolute agony with not being able to get wind out. His been up all night pulling his legs up and crying, worse than when he was on his other milk. Is this just a normal thing to happen when changing a baby's milk. I've only given him 6 bottles of the new milk. Do I continue with this milk or change him back to his other one? ( he wasn't good on the other one at all but at least could get some sleep with that one) or do I just ride it out with the new one?

If it is a cows milk allergy it can take a couple of weeks for the enzymes from his previous milk to leave his body. If it's reflux and it sounds like ot may be you could ask for some carobel to thicken the milk and stop it coming back up. We went through the exact journey you're on with our boys. We ended up on changing the milk back and put them on Omeprazol which did the trick but they won't give you that till you've tried this milk for a few weeks. Good luck, you will get through it but it can take a little while, it's the hardest thing to go through but you WILL get there, take care of yourself. We bought a wedgehog for their cots and that helped a lot. Also, keeping them upright for half hour after feeding xxx
