Hey! Just wondered if anyone suddenly started suffering from severe pmt after having their baby? I've had pnd from very early on...got worse before first period but then settled the last few months....however, suddenly the last week or so I felt all those old feelings, anxiety, tearfulness, hopelessness, etc. Today I've started to come on (sorry TMI!) Im wondering if this is pmt... I'm so scared that it is my pnd rearing again...or that I'm going to feel this terrible every month.

Anyone else really struggled emotionally with postnatal periods? I just want feel myself again.

Hi, my DD is 7 months and I suffer awfully with pmt. I am also BF so think that's contributing. I literally said to my friend last night, that I had my first thought been hormones with my eldest, then I probably wouldn't have been misdiagnosed with a MH condition. I find around the time I ovulate and in the run up to my period I'm overwhelmed and depressed.

I hope this settles...I honestly cant bare feeling like this...its so hard! Getting through those first few months was absolute torture....I dont think I can face battling these feelings again.Sad I'm so hoping this is just a temporary blip and I feel myself again soon.

I hope so for you too! I suffered sever PND with my DS so I know what hell it is!
Tbh, I just be kind to myself, pyjama days, takeaways, early nights and lots of Netflix. No massive solutions, just riding it out with as little pressure on myself as possible.
I don't have a staunch routine with DD just a sort of pattern we follow, so if I can't manage to be Mary Poppins some days then thats find, we're just rolling with the punches 😊
