Hi all,
Has anyone had removal of external piles?
6 months into my pregnancy they started, my baby is now 6 months old and i read they can go away bythemselves.theyhave shrunk slightly but there's actually more appearing. They dont hurt and I dont strain for them to still be popping up! My husband can actually see them when we are intimate and I desperately want them gone.
Any advice please ladies?

Thank you
Xx

The GP told me they won’t surgically remove them because they come back so it’s a waste of time and money. I just got given cream and sent away.

Hi,
Did the cream make them dissapear?

Nope. It stopped the pain for a few months. When it started hurting again I got more cream. Three years later and the pile is still there. I’ve just had to accept it as a birth injury that can’t be fixed.

I had surgical removal of mine while still 34 weeks pregnant! They had become stuck outside and turned purple (thrombosed) - it was so horrid and painful 😖

However, be warned: haemorrhoid surgery is also extremely painful. I was in agony for about 10 days - I needed Tramadol at night just to sleep. I needed a hot bath after every BM for 2 weeks. It was difficult to poo for a couple of months - I'm talking 20 mins in the bathroom gasping and straining. I'm 6 months post op now and it's only just feeling properly normal again.

The cream shrinks them down so try using regularly.

I haven't but my mum did and she said she wouldn't recommended it because they came back and she still has pain.
