Spotting and breastfeeding

My baby is 7 weeks old tomorrow. I am exclusively breastfeeding and my baby has put lots and lots of weight on. Tonight, I've experienced some pink spotting and have started getting cramps. I thought I wasn't going to have a period for months? Is this normal?

Irewuran ultrasound from your speak to your doctor for a scan.
I bled till 10 weeks oppp, some dats light others it was really heavy. Had a scan and turns out there's something been left behind in my uterus. Waiting to get it removed now.
