How long should they last? They were bad for about 6 weeks, went away and now back with a vengeance. I am literally drenched to the point I am freezing when getting up to do night feeds and have to out a blanket in bed to lie on when I get back in.

Now 12 weeks and back on pill

I think so, though it's a while since I had a baby. At 12 weeks your hormones are still settling down. They are horrible though, something I wasn't aware of before I had a baby so they came as a bit if a shock. Might be an idea to check with your GP just for reassurance.

Normal! I asked the GP at about 11 weeks and they said totally fine, just your body getting rid of excess hormones. I asked how long I should expect it for and they said just prepare for things to take 9 months to clear up. They went a week later all of a sudden!

They have asked me to come in for blood tests tomorrow so will find out

Bit late in responding here but I had this for a long time after birth I just put it down to hormones - I was constantly burning up day and night

RandomMess · 25/04/2020 09:14

Only had it noticeably with DC3 (out of 4) lasted for a year 😳

Actually I have only just linked there was only a 14month gap between 2 & 3 so I was full of pregnancy & BF hormones etc 30 months consecutively... my allergies also worsened and lingered for DC pregnancy/post birth!

I've been having the sweats the last couple of nights. 😭 I'm 6 months postpartum. I'm not a sweaty person tbh but it's been bad these last few nights.. feeling like I'm completely drenched.. ew

Yesss completely normal I had this too and it's one of the main things I remember driving me crazy!

RandomMess · 25/04/2020 09:28

I remember thinking it was an insight into the menopause 😭

I still get night sweats at nearly 10 months pp to the point that it wakes me in the night. I am literally drenched - it's pretty disgusting. Glad to hear it's not just me!
