Volvodynia/pudendal nerve?

Morning all.

After having our second little one (vaginal, unassisted delivery with no tears) I felt fine down there. Then fast forward to the following month I started to have a sensation of a uti, you know that irritated feeling down/up there. Checked and tested but nothing had swabs and nothing, had antibiotics and no improvement. I was given amatriptyline to see if it helped and it didn't so now I am on pregabalin I think they are called. I feel like my vulva is burning/irritated. Sometimes it feels on the surface (if that makes sense) other times it feels like it is in the entrance or right up inside. I'm so uncomfortable and think my state of mind is in a bad place.

I am doing my pelvic floor exercises (holding for 10) when I try and have a bowel movement I'm either constipated or it takes ages to come out, and I can feel it sat there. If I try and push just a little my vagina feels like it is being pulled, almost like a pulled muscle I guess.

I crouched down the other day and had a pain upinside and sometime I will get random shooting /electric pains.

I've been googling (I know I shouldn't) but I think it sounds like either vulvodynia or pudendal nerve problems. I was just wondering if any of you ladies have experienced or are going through anything similar.?

After I've taken this medication for 2 weeks the gp said to double the dose but I am going to ask to be referred. I can't carry on like this especially not with two under 2's and my state of mind being how it is (worrying all the time).

Just jumped on Mumsnet after years. literally! I am a pelvic pain veteran, if you are still suffering you need to see a womans health physio to assess what muscles are hyper tonic. I have had a whole range of horrible symptoms, it is most likely muscles, irritating and sensitizing the nerves but you need to get assessed properly (internally) as well as your posture ie, abdominals, glutes etc. by someone who knows what they are doing.
