Hi I need some advice about my csection scar, I am 3 weeks and 4 days postpartum, at 2weeks I noticed weeping and a foul smell I saw midwife and docter who put me on antibiotics and gave me a steroid cream to use for one week. It seemed to be getting better. But I have just cleaned my stitches and noticed it and the souriunding area of my stitches feel very tender in the skin and inside there is again a smell and it's weeping. There seems to be a opening in the middle which is weeping and bleeding with something pocking out which I can't really see what it is. There is also a small hole at the left side. And I have noticed what looks like a bad ingrown hair on the right of my scar..... Any advice please !!

Get back to the doctor in the morning. I had staples so didn't experience stitches in my section....but should they still be there? I'm surprised you haven't had them out yet? Or are they disposable? If so - ingrowing bhair might be a stitch.... possibly. But still get them checked...I had some on my lip which never dissolved properly...

See your Gp again as you may need more or different antibiotics
Hope it heals soon

I had dissolvable stitches and the incision was just above the hair line.

I had something which sounds a bit similar but rather than being in the middle was at the end. It turned out one of my stitches hadn't dissolved properly so I had to have that sorted. It was why it kept getting infected and why it looked like there was a little hole. Perhaps something like that?

I think they are disolvable , as noone has come to remove them and the midwife has discharged me.. .... I will deffinatley try and see doc again tomorrow. .... worried about whole on the left as most painful. and what ever is poking out in middle of scar where weeping feels weird. And also wondering if the black raises bump on my scar on the right is a ingrown hair or stitch and will the ingrown hair on the scar cause a problem. Should I try and get it out?

It could be a stitch. Sometimes dissolvable ones don't dissolve and need pulling out. The dr will,do this, don't touch it.

Dear OP,
I am a HCP. Do not try and remove anything from the wound. If you feel unwell in yourself (temperature, flu like symptoms or similar) then you should see a Dr tonight. Otherwise get an emergency appointment with your GP tomorrow.

Yes the doctor sorted mine for me, I would leave it and see your GP. I then had to go back and see the practice nurse a few times so she could redress it and keep an eye on it for me after the stitch was taken out. They were very thorough.
