Hey mummies.

Just wanting some advice/reassurance if possible - it's worth noting that I suffer terribly with health anxiety so for me right now, everything seems worst case scenario!

So my lovely bundle of joy was born 12 weeks ago.. she is my second. I had a normal delivery..

Ever since, I've had a lot of aches and pains across the top of my back, where my shoulder blades are. It seems worse on an evening but sometime noticeable through the day..

Also I have tenderness on my bottom ribs - both sides I think...

Straight away, I think worst case scenario. Whenever I talk to people about it, all I get is "you've just had a baby, everything will be all over the place".. is this true? Could the pains be related to my body settling down etc?

I'm sick of being scared!! I mentioned the shoulder pain to my doctors and they said "it's probably posture"

Please tell me someone else has gone through this.

Thanks in advance xx

Could the shoulder pain be that you are spending time in a hunched forward position when holding/feeding baby or pushing pram etc? Lying on the floor and protracting/retracting shoulders might help if so, also a nice gentle stretch lying on your back with arms out at the side and your legs bent and to one side (bottom leg on floor, top leg on top of it with about a 90 degree angle at the knee, shoulders ad flat to the floor as you can manage and head facing away from your knees). I find child's pose quite comfy too for a back stretch.
No idea about ribs!
