Any experiences? I've had periods for 3 months right on time. I was due 3 days ago and had the symptoms etc but nothing. Is it normal for them to be abit irregular?

No problem, OP - we're moving it over now - we think our Postnatal Health topic is probably your best bet for advice.

Mine stopped after my first one and came back about 3 months after i finished breastfeeding at 11 months old, coinciding with me stopping setraline (dont know if they were linked)

I think it’s one of these things that varies from woman to woman... my periods came back regularly 8 weeks after giving birth, even though I was still EBF at that time and continued feeding until 15 months.

Sorry clicked to early there!

My SiL didn’t get a regular cycle for about 4 months after she stopped BFing completely

silkpyjamasallday · 14/12/2018 14:27

I gave up bf 6 months ago and my cycle still hasn't settled, had a few scares!

Have you taken a pregnancy test, OP?

I thought my periods were wonky after starting up again post partum...but no, I was pregnant. He's two next month!

Hmm OK. I expected them to be irregular but the first 3 months were right on schedule and not heavier or lighter than they ever were. I am now 5/6 days overdue and still nothing....I am worried about doing a pregnancy test. I know I probably should if it hasnt started soon. We have only had sex once in the last few weeks and used a condom but (tmi) we didnt use the condom straight away so I guess there is a million to 1 possibility that there could have been something Confused very unlikely I wouldve thought though....

I guess theyre taking longer to settle
