Still sore 12 weeks after childbirth?

I was induced with my baby 12 weeks ago. Had a rough time, started the process 7am sunday morning and didnt have baby until 10pm monday night. They attempted to break my waters 3 times, once broke i was in labour for 7 hours. In the pushing stage i went tachycardic and baby had to be born by Ventouse and i also had a epiosotomy.

Anyways my point is.. is it normal to still be sore like inside my vagina 12 weeks on?! Its my first baby and my stitches have completely healed but inside is still sore! I havent had sex, the thought of it horrifies me. Also when im sat on the loo or sat crossed legged, it feels so heavy and achy!

A couple of my older friends say i should be completely fine by now so just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?!

I’m still waiting for the NHS to sort mine out.

My daughter is 8.

(Years, not weeks.)

Go to the GP. You might have a small prolapse.

My son is almost 3 years and I’m still uncomfortable and under nhs care. :-( I feel you pain!

Completely fine? 3 months after birth? No.
But on the mend yes. I took about 6 months to feel completely fine.

Best to get checked at a dr though if you’re worried.

@poutysprout your post reminds me of that thread a while ago when someone said that the first comment is always someone who adds to the depression/sucks out the fun/steals the spotlight.

Hi I gave birth 11 weeks ago and my situation sound similar to yours (I was induced Monday morning and didn’t have him til late Wednesday night!) I tore and had stitches. I had the coil fitted a fortnight ago and the dr who fitted it said my stitches are healing “beautifully” although it doesn’t feel like it to me! I feel very sore after going for a wee (like nerve damage or some type of pain related to my pelvic floor) and it still gets very tender down there. Every week it hurts a little bit less but I can definitely still feel it and sex is out of the question as it’s so sore.

I had ventouse. It was ten months before I could have sex without significant pain. Now DS is 2 and I’m fine, thank goodness.
