Lactation after milk dried up

Morning everyone,

My LO is 12 weeks +2 and my milk dried up about 6 weeks ago. However this evening I have noticed that ken breast is leaking milk. This is the first time it's happened, has anyone else had this happen after their milk dried up?

Thanks
Dlh

It means your milk hasn't dried up clearly!

A friend stopped breastfeeding at around 3 months but said her breasts leaked milk for 6 months afterwards. So if your baby is 12 weeks old and you're spending a lot of time together your body is probably still producing a small amount of milk.

There is a tea you can buy to dry it up called No More Milk by Earth Mama, maybe you can find it on Amazon?

The thing is that the milk doesn't necessarily go. A friend of mine stopped bf at 3 months but sort of regretted it do decided to try again at 5 months. She pumped a lot and managed to get 10-20ml. She didn't continue in the end but it really didn't take long to get her milk going again.

I stopped breastfeeding almost six months ago, and I still sometimes get the tiniest of leaks. I was feeding on demand for 21 months though so that may be a factor in it taking longer to dry up. I took sudafed to help reduce supply when we weaned DD and that worked a treat at drying it up.
