I'm 13 weeks PP and have received an appointment at 3rd Degree & Perineal Tear clinic. I have been given no other information except the appointment time. Does anyone have any experience or have any idea what is going to happen?
Thanks Smile

I saw a nurse specialist who examined me and referred for an endo anal USS where they scan the sphincter muscles with a vibrating probe (not as bad as it sounds) to check for damage.

I saw a consultant. He examined me vaginally and anally and asked me to “squeeze” both times. Then used an ultrasound probe to check the healing of the sphincter muscles. Asked me how I was, did I have any pain etc. Then made another appointment for 3ish months time if I remember rightly.

I didn’t even find it embarrassing. The third degree tear and subsequent trip to theatre got rid of all my dignity Grin

He may also have asked if I’d had intercourse yet. The answer was “of course I bloody haven’t” Shock

That's my answer too! Confused after what happened to me? No thanks! HmmGrin
