How long did you bleed for after birth?

It's been over 3 weeks now and I have started bleeding again after 4 days of none. Is this normal?

Mine stopped at about 3 weeks for 2 days and then started again for another 4 weeks, DD is 5 months know and periods are still all over the place, I think I've had about 2 weeks in total where I haven't bled

6 weeks then had a week off then periods started back really heavily. Was ebf too grrrrr.

Sounds normal compared to my first which lasted about a month, with my second I bled for 3 days then couple of days break then week or so more (so same pattern of a break, and she was born 28 weeks so presumably less lining to come away)
And with third was probably 2 weeks roughly but heavier and lighter at points.

DD1 born at 39+4 I bled for around 16 days. DD2 at same gestation I bled for around 6 weeks. I had large PPHs with both so no rhyme or reason.

I bled for about 8 weeks solid. Fairly light for the last couple of weeks. I remember thinking "I thought this was supposed to be for 6 weeks maximum?!" Did go for 6 months before my periods returned though.

6-8 weeks each time. Didn’t get periods back until 10-12 months though.

6 weeks, periods back at 10 months but BF for 6 months.

Six weeks and still waiting on periods (ten months later).

About a week, but most of that was light. Only period-like for about 3 days.

About 8 weeks. I had check at 6 weeks and doc told me to go back if it hadnt stopped. The gave me a course of antibiotucs and that stopped it in a day

After 5 weeks I went to the doc to be checked for a prolapse (negative) and the GP was concerned that I was still bleeding fairly consistently. Another 5 weeks and several ultrasounds later, I was in hospital having a large piece of retained placenta removed. I'd had it surgically removed after DD's birth and they'd left some there. If you're worried, go and get checked.

Just over 6 weeks, but I was over-doing things both times. I would recommend rest.

Around 4 weeks with first baby and around 2 weeks with second baby.

6-8 weeks.
