C section recovery advice? 4 months on!

Hi all, lurker here :)

Does anybody have tips on what can help with a c section a few months in? I had an emergency section about 4 months ago, which involved two separate incisions after a long labour, and dd's very big so I was lifting a lot straight away. Needless to say I am still not recovered well. It's very frustrating!

I have to go back to work soon so tights, leggings or trousers are very much on the menu! But anything rubbing on it is awful. I can find maternity stuff which has a seam right across the scar.

I have the necessary big knickers and helpful husband - anything else? I've looked at the girdles and belts you can get but they look in the pictures like they sit too high and would just chafe the scar - are they any good? Or any recommendations on maternity wear with a higher seam?

(Please don't worry about me needing to see someone about it, I've seen the nurse and she said it's healing fine and plenty of people have it this bad)

I had a section 8 months ago and a big baby. Jeans irritated my scar and I haven't actually tried any on for a few months. I wear normal high waisted leggings, one size too big with a short skirt over the top.
After 6 months I could lift etc much better ( 25kg+) and the scar felt significantly better.

Thanks, I'll try a larger size of leggings! Mine are high waist but they slip down when I sit and rub against it

For anyone discovering this thread in the future and wondering.... I went up two sizes in leggings, and found that Poundland (currently) sell leggings with a very high waist. Good luck!
