Sugar makes me ill? Anaemia?

Not sure why, but I'm 8 weeks postpartum now and can't have anything sugary at all! Anytime I have a bit of chocolate or fizzy drink I feel really nauseous, has this happened to anyone else?

I was absolutely fine with sugar through my pregnancy and the first few weeks pp, it's so strange. I'm on liquid iron at the moment for anaemia though so not sure if it could be from that?

How strange Confused

I would say that the nausea is caused by taking iron. It is a very common side effect.

I found I felt ill (more just dizzy and jittery, not nauseous) eating sugar after my first was born. I always assumed it was just because my metabolism changed. There was nothing wrong with me and I had a perfectly natural, straightforward birth. I think just want my body needed changed. That was 5 years ago and actually I ended up cutting a lot of sugar out of my diet and felt much better in general, so wasn’t a bad thing.
