The pill after pregnancy

I had our baby nine months ago. Before pregnancy, I was on the pill for years and years and didn't have any issues or bleeding.

At the six week check, my doctor put me back on the same pill. Almost as soon as I started taking it, I was spotting daily. I was told to continue with it and kept with it for six months before asking for a change as it wasn't working for me anymore. I was changed to a pill of the same type (can't take "normal" pills due to suffering with migraines) but this one has to be taken within a three hour window (the last one was a twelve hour window).

This pill is even worse, the bleeding is now heavy and I am suffering with cramping. I have stuck with it for other a month but it only seems to be getting worse and it is making me feel awful.

I decided to stop taking it a couple of days ago, and I am hoping things resolve themselves.

Has anyone else has this problem, used the pill before pregnancy without problem but it's now not working for them?

My doctor keeps pushing for me to have the coil fitted, but as we want to try for another baby in the next year or so, I don't want anything long term!
