Okay so I'm ebf with dd1 she's 6 months now and I got my first period literally 2-3 days after birth bleeding had stopped I was about 2 weeks pp, anyway my period has been spot on since until last month I was 2-3 weeks late now this month I'm late again, has anyone else had the same thing, me and dh use the pull out method but I'm very careful and don't have it often at all. What do you think ??

Pull out method is not contraception. Breastfeeding is not contraception. If you've been having periods and unprotected sex and those periods stop it is likely you are pregnant again.

I’m confused. You were 2-3 weeks late but then you got your period or not?

Pull out method is not contraception. You WILL get pregnant doing that, if you’re not already.

I took a test last month before af came and it was negative and I know there not 100% affective but honestly we maybe have it once a month at the moment when I'm not fertile.

If your periods have gone irregular now and your not pregnant bear in mind that it will be more difficult to predict when you are fertile and when you are not.

I’d say your period just still isn’t regular, which means your fertile period isn’t predictable either.

Take a test to make sure you’re not pregnant this time and use condoms until you’re finished breastfeeding (unless you want to get pregnant again).

Okay thank you will definitely take a test within the next few days, would you say it's because iv just had a baby or it because I'm breastfeeding that's messed with my periods ( if I'm not pregnant )

It’s hard to say. I didn’t get my period back for more than 2 years when I was breastfeeding first time around. Took about 15 months the second time. It’s bad luck for you I’m afraid. Wink
