Stomach cramps 2 weeks after giving birth

So dc2 is just over 2 weeks old. Overall, I'v been fine, normal birth and used gas&air.

This morning I woke up to a stomach cramp with back pain. It literally took my breath away for the few minutes it was there. Tmi sorry - went to loo and it was really painful having a poo but it all came out.

Anyway I'v now started getting cramps again accompanied with lower back pain. The pain starts at the back and then comes to the stomach. I also feel like my bodys shivering/shaking slightly.. not sure how to explain it and Iv started feeling sick. :/

Is this normal?? .. I'v had a banging headache all day because of lack of sleep and my toddler to look after aswell as my newborn. So i'm exhausted .. could it be that? I'm confused

Have you checked you don't have a temperature?

Have you had increased blood loss?

If any of the above apply I'd call your midwife triage team for advice. Hope you feel better soon !

I had this pretty bad. It's all your organs and stuff moving back into place. Talk to your health visitot/midwife about it though! Xxx

I had very bad after pains in the first week. They are very painful. But please talk to your midwife or doctor to check.

Mmmm the shivering sounds like it could be an infection. I'd ring and try to get a GP appointment. I had this (admittedly it was a couple of days rather than weeks post partum) and I went downhill very quickly until I got some ABs into me.
