So...

We're 3 months post baby and have tried having penetrative sex precisely once... I had a 3rd degree tear (tmi, my perineum and vag was fine my anal area... not so much)

It felt like there was something in the way internally... not sure if it was just my head getting in the way or what...

Guess my question is, should I call the "pelvic floor clinic" that we have in my country and are keeping an eye on how things go and get checked over or is it normal and I just need to be patient and keep trying...

Am so worried we're never gonna have sex again (I really want to...) and worried my lower regions will never feel normal again.

Hi, did you have a 6-8 week check? They normally check in UK to make sure everything is as it should be but I don't know if that happens where you live. I would get checked m if you're unsure as there shouldn't be anything in the way. I think it takes awhile for everything to go back. I had a mild second degree tear and stitches and sex still hurts 9 months post partum. Everything is fully healed but it feels too tight and hurts the muscle.
