My breasts won't release milk

I've just born a little boy, while my breast may not produce a lot of milk, they are currently terribly sore and won't release any milk. I've been told to massage them but it's so painful any tips or ideas?

Squeezing milk from your breast with your hand rather than using a pump. Some women find it more comfortable than using a pump, but honestly op if your baby is latching onto the breast I wouldn't express at all, hand or pump, just feed your baby from the breast.
