Some mornings (like right now) my little one will be awake in his bassinet just at the end of the bed.

He's not crying just squirming and grunting.

I feel terrible but I just can't be bothered to get out of bed and start the day. I love my little poppet to pieces but am feeling so damn lazy.

Not sure if I should be worried or if it is normal to feel this occasionally?

I dunno, sounds very balanced to me! If he's just grunting, let him get on with it. Might learn to self-settle. You'd attend to baby if he was actually unhappy about something, right?

Yes your right I'd be up like a shot maybe I'm overthinking and being to hard on myself. Maybe I should make the most of it! Think he's back to sleep now 😍

I get this all the time...!

He coughs
He's fine
Should I have been more concerned?
No he's fine.
You're being complacent!
But he's fine!
But you didn't check!
And so the guilt.
Your mind works so hard against you when you're tired. You know him better than anyone and if you know he's fine, you leave him to it, if you know he's upset you go to him. It's hard enough without criticising yourself all the time, which is what I do! I worry about him all the time, then when I relax I suddenly tense up again thinking I should have been worried maybe I don't care omg etc!
