Pelvic pain 6 months post birth

Hi everyone. I had pelvic girdle pain during the last 3 months of my pregnancy. I wasn't on crutches or anything but it was significantly painful. It cleared up post birth thankfully but when my periods returned I got the odd twinge (have heard this is quite common) but now it is back and I can feel it all the time. It's not agony but it's painful enough to notice it and I'm scared it will get worse and about future pregnancies. I have birth 6 months ago so don't know why it has come back. Has this happened to anyone else? Does physio make it go away?

You need to see a physio who specialises in women's health and is willing to do some hands on manipulation/ NOT just give you a sheet of excercises to do.

It can take about 5 months for all the relaxin in the body to return to normal levels, so 5-6 months on you can get some twinges as things start to tighten back up.
I am four months post birth and still suffering - I've been told it tends to recur in subsequent pregnancies so I will be seeing someone soon (just as soon as I can get someone to look after the little one for an hour!)
