6 weeks, is this my periods returning?

My DD will be 6 weeks on sat and today it seems as if my periods are returning. I am ebf so thought that it would be a few months before I had to deal with this. Does anyone know if this is normal?

I felt cheated!

How long did you bleed for after childbirth? My bleeding stopped and started again couple of times. Around 10 weeks I'd had a few weeks of no bleeding when I started spotting for a couple of days.thought it was my period and felt very cheated as like you am ebf. However it didn't last long, was incredibly light and I've seen nothing of it since and it's now 5 months since I gave birth.

I think at 6 weeks there's a high chance it's still lochia. Especially if you've been quite active recently

I had periods return at six weeks when I was feeding a newborn round the clock, and feeding a two year old whenever she could sneak in.

So sorry but yes this could well be your period.
Mine was 3 months ebf round the clock and like a pp I felt cheated.

My lochia only lasted just over a week. I do feel cheated, I expected at least a few months off! Oh well I am quickly learning that everything I think os going to happen post pregnancy, the opposite is more likely true!

Six weeks exactly both times. Very unfair!
