Stupid boobs - burning pain after stopped pumping

Hi everyone,

I'm 6.5wks post elcs with triplets. I pumped like a villain while they were in scbu (as it was about all I could do to feel I was useful for them) and had planned to bottle feed ebm when we got them home too (mix of latch issues and fact i'll be going back to work in summer leaving dh with the babies). but we got them home I just couldn't fit in pumping against everything else needing doing. So I went from pumping 6-10 times per day, to pumping twice a day if lucky in the week before last, then stopped pumping altogether last week. My supply dropped off really fast when I dropped the amount of pumpings so didn't really get engorged, boobs just seemed to absorb what I left in there! But now I've started getting really strong burning pain in my boobs occasionally (usually when I'm just dropping off in a precious hour between feed cycles, thanks stupid body). Has anyone else had this? Is it just something to ride out or should I go to gp? Got my postnatal check up next wk so will mention it then anyway. But just thought I'd canvass boobpinion here too!

Might be boob thrush? I had it and it felt like how you describe. If it's making you uncomfortable then I'd see your GP. Respect to you too for even being able to type post triplets! Smile congrats!
