Deb, sorry you're feeling fed up. My mum started the menopause early so it's always been at the back of my mind too.

I'm very relieved to be very nearly finished my very overdue assignment...

Deb, sorry you are feeling grumpy. Try not to worry isn't periods getting more spread out also a sign?

Spain is still lovely and sunny, not too hot though so v pleasant. Over nght I have been devoured by a mosquito and and I am struggling to type this with one eyelid puffed up and almost shut. I don't look good. I think we are going to Granada today so I will have my sunglasses firmly on.

Hello to everyone else, sorry for not writing more.

Sorry Deb, I don't know enough about periods etc. to comment but couldn't you take a trip to the dr's and see what they think? If you are getting upset about it then isn't it worth finding out for sure? Also, only having 20 days between periods would drive me mad and I'd want to try and resolve that if nothing else. (Says she who has only had one period so far - god it was awful though!)

I have to make an appointment for a smear test so am waiting for period to make sure I get it on the right part of cycle. After three kids you'd think I'd be used to people messing about with the fango but I'm dreading it already. What a wuss!

Deb - the periods issue could be loads of different things - I had period issues and it was because of my thyroid. How long has it been going on for?

Amberc · 25/09/2009 12:03

Neenz - Esther is brilliant at speaking - Luke only says car really and then everything else sounds the same as ball . Ball - ball, butterfly - ball, bye - ball etc etc!!

Harvest festival - blimey we were completely broke when I was a kid and lived in an area where everyone was the same. Nobody gave fresh fruit - my sister and I got a can of beans each to bring in! All our stuff was distributed to the elderly in the area. Very sweet actually even in such a poor area we could still help people even worse off than ourselves - a nice lesson for kids to learn.

poppy - hope you are feeling better today. Luke is a mummy's girl and I feel for Mark.

I was going to ask for some advice on this actually. Luke will only really play with mark when it's being chased and then runs to me when he gets near. He will actually cry if Mark takes him away from me or if Mark cuddles or picks him up he cries and struggles to get free. He puts up with it if I'm not around but I always hear him whinging (Luke not mark!) until I go in and then he's fine. It's funny because he will let other people pick him up, even strangers! I know he doesn't see Mark an awful lot in the week but he spends all weekend with the both of us. I feel ever so sorry for Mark and I know it must hurt him when he picks Luke up for a cuddle and he just cries. I told Mark that maybe we should let Luke go to him and make sure Mark was doing loads of interesting baby stuff. I don't know - maybe he doesn't engage enough? Any ideas?
