marmitemad · 04/02/2009 14:25

Thank you

Congratulations, how very exciting, I am very . How many weeks and will you find out what you are having?

I know we have mostly lost contact but I was wondering if it might be possible to have a meet up sometime. Would be fab to see how all lo's have grown up and changed

andyrobo237 · 04/02/2009 14:36

Hello over here!

A good time to re-group and catch up - it seems that we do very little posting on here!

DS is well into Peppa Pig - it is a shame that all the stuff you can buy clothes wise is for girls - cant see him wearing pink somehow!!

daizydoo · 04/02/2009 15:15

Hello!

Congrats Peachy!!
Andy my ds loves Peppa too, but thankfully is happy wearing his bob the builder clothes!!

I can't believe ds is turning 2, where has the time gone? We're having a small party this year - which unfortunately means I have to clean the house properly!! I have become very bad at housework since I went back to work part time and am pregnant!

You'll have to excuse my overuse of exclamation marks - I've eaten 1/2 a jar of nutella and am a little hyper now

peachygirl · 05/02/2009 07:32

Marmite that would be lovely. even if it was just a couple of us.
It's half term soon or how about Easter hols?

DD is very into Balamory at the moment. We haven't really come across Peppa pig yet although DD has some Pjamas with her on as I was desperate for some.

Andyrobo Tescos had some navy blue peppa pig pjamas as well as the pink ones. If you haven't got a Tescos near you I would hapily get some and send them. They could be for your DS's birthday (We have a enormous Tescos down the road). I think they were about £5.

Thanks for the congrats. I have been bleeding (sorry TMI) but I had an early scan yeasterday at 6 weeks and everything was fine. DD was vry well behaved but that was probaly due to the chocolate buttons she wa scoffing!! We will probably find out what we are having

marmitemad · 05/02/2009 13:08

Daizydoo does that mean congratulations are due in your directions as well?????

Peachy - I'm glad your scan went well, ha ha at choccie button scoffing. I can do the Thurs or Friday in half term band Tues 14th, Wed 15th or Thur 16th April.

dd loves ITNG and Dora the Explorer

peachygirl · 05/02/2009 13:37

Would that be Thurs 19th feb? I could do that or any of the April dates.

Obviously anyone else close to London is very welcome

OP posts:
daizydoo · 05/02/2009 19:51

I'm due in May - the size of a house already!! DS likes ITNG, but prefers Diego to Dora!

marmitemad · 06/02/2009 19:02

Peachygirl - actually thinking about the complex cake decorations needed It would probably be better for me to go for Easter hols in which case I can do

Thurs 9th April
Tues 14th April
Wed 15th A
Thurs 16th A

Daizydoo - is there any possibility of you joining us or is that too close to d-day?

I wonder what happened to dont call me yummy mummy?

andyrobo237 · 06/02/2009 20:46

Thanks peachygirl - we have two Tesco's that are not too far away here, so will try there first. he would be highly delighted with Peppa Pig Pyjamas, but I am not sure he would take them off!!

I am very about all these bumps on here - not that I have any plans to increase my family at all ever!!! I love babies but will make do with piccies of your LO's when they all arrive!

peachygirl · 06/02/2009 20:54

Ok let do April then we also have time to gather any extras that pop in

OP posts:
daizydoo · 06/02/2009 22:00

I could pop over to join you, but I work Mon-Thurs.

Ds has been having fun in the snow today - well he lasts about 5 mins before he gets cold hands!!

andyrobo237 · 07/02/2009 21:31

Snow what snow - we have none here in Liverpool - we had a smattering on Monday but that soon melted .

I want piccies of snow people and kiddies playing in the snow .... stamps feet like a toddler .....!!

SmudgeyDoodle · 07/02/2009 22:45

Hi everyone. Had quite a nice little tea party for DS but he wasn't very well. DD is a party animal and seems to stay awake when anything exciting is going on (ie not just boring old me!) Andyrobo, I will add a photo of DS playing int he snow on Mon. He lasted about 10 mins before tipping a bucket of icy water down himself and screaming to come back in! Where are you thinking of a meet up? Not sure what we are doing in April - can't think past Feb at the moment because we are off to the Caribbean again. This time s-i-l getting married so get to show kiddies off to DH's family. Wish me luck for the 9.5 hour flight!

SmudgeyDoodle · 07/02/2009 23:44

Meant to say congrats to those who are pregnant again. Life is hectic but good fun with our two. DS loves his little sister so much it's really great

peachygirl · 08/02/2009 15:52

The meet up will be in London. Last time we met on the south bank and had some lunch.
We have had some great snow here I too will try to get pictures on

DS enjoyed his second birthday on 14th - seems to think that everyday is his birthday and he should be having presents and cake!

Wasnt helped by DD having her birthday on Thursday! He opened two of hers for her, much to her disgust!

suzi2 · 14/03/2009 21:43

Hello! I have a lot of catching up to do... off to read the whole thread now!

DD doing well. VERY cute but terrible lol. Nothing much new here, she has glasses for longsightedness/squint that appeared suddenly a couple of months ago. DS settled at nursery. other than that I've not much to say!

Hope you're all well

Bubblebell1 · 27/03/2009 09:17

I just wanted to say hi. i was on the feb 07 thread when i had ds2 but didnt use mn for a while. its lovely to see you all.

andirobo · 04/05/2009 21:26

Hi everyone! We are going through a rough stage at the moment - the terrible twos!! There is a lot of 'No', 'I dont want to' and my diplomatic skills are becoming better by the day!

When he is good it is great, but when he is 'on one' there is no reasoning with him, and usually ends up with him crying / screaming, etc in the corner with a very grumpy face, and me just walking away from him. I keep reminding myself it is just a phase...... .!

Moosy · 05/05/2009 11:43

We're having that too here Andi, DD2 insists on doing EVERYTHING 'all by myseeeelf' which can take a very long time!

Of course it's not helped by the fact that I'm in the full throes (or this that throws) of morning sickness.

And breeeeeeeeathe, it's just a phase!

marmitemad · 05/05/2009 13:10

terrible twos here as well, all I get is "Noooooooooo" and "abi do it" all day long. anyone got any tips for dealing with a 2yr old whose fav word is no? I usually try to ignore her..... but dh loses his temper quite a lot

daizydoo · 11/05/2009 12:49

Hi there,

Congrats Moosy - when are you due?

Marmite/Peachygirl, did you meet up in April?

Well I gave birth to Jasper on Sat morning, he weighed 8lb 6oz and the birth was 4hrs from start to finish. Very intense and completely different to ds1's birth.

We are also going through the terrible 2's, made all the worse by our new arrival! ds1 just tends to ignore me & get up to mischief!

peachygirl · 31/05/2009 20:57

Hi all, congratulations daizydoo.

No we didn't do the meet up... maybe another time???

lots of arguing with a toddler here too and lots of having to physically remove objects from her mouth, take her down off chairs and the TV cabinet etc etc

OP posts:
andirobo · 02/06/2009 22:09

Welcome to Jasper - fab name!

We still having some difficulties with boundary testing - quite amusing sometimes, but when I am tired it is wearing! He does listen more now and knows when he is being naughty and will apologise! He says 'Sorry Mummy' and gives me a sloppy kiss!!
