A hat to dress baby for outings?

I don’t know why I seem to be suddenly self conscious, I had two kids and mostly dressed them in sleepsuit out in their first 6 months, they were summer baby so I guess it’s probably looks less like pjs. Now I have a September born, I’m yet to take her out but wondered what sort of clothes do you dress newborn up to 6 months out? Especially in this autumn weather.

Mine are autumn babies and had cardigans to go over their sleep suits. Also a ‘pram suit’ I suppose it would be called. Like a snow suit but thinner as they aren’t really in the outside air like the are when they are walking.

Yes I'd go similar to a summer baby but with a long sleeve vest under, perhaps a cardi or suit over. I love the frugi snuggle suits for being just thick enough to add a layer without being sweaty or overheating. Depends where you live obviously!
