EBF Baby dropping not gaining enough and not interested in milk

My baby only gained 200g over 2 weeks (she is 8w today). She was born at 3800g and now 5000g.

She is not very interested in her milk, never empties breasts, sucks for 3-4 min and than turns away (Not falls asleep, she doesn’t sleep much during the day) and seems to be full of milk as when I hold her after a feed milk comes out of her mouth. And even an hour after a feed there is some milk. I wake her up for night feeds.

Her brothers were putting on 1.5kg a month but they were happily spending most of the day and night on breast and would empty both breasts per a feed.

We are using a dummy as she wouldn’t settle to sleep in other ways and refuses a nipple.

What can I do to get her weight on track? I already seem to force feed her.

Have you asked your HV?

Going to call them shortly but they have not been very helpful so far.

Hi. Sorry you are are going through this.
My baby is 2 weeks and hasn't regained his birth weight. The midwife weighed him today and she looked over a feeding diary that she told me to make last week. She said I'm feeding him too often. The advice was to feed 3 hourly to give breasts enough time to fill up and this will prevent him from feeding on empty breasts and using up his energy suckling. I was also told to continue making a feeding diary.

Hope your baby starts gaining. It's really stressful Sad
