Newborn baby has no toenails on one foot

Has anyone else had this? Will they grow with time?

Are there indents for the nail bed? Did the paediatrician see them in hospital (if you had a hospital birth)? DS had a small difference on his skin and we had several doctors coming to look at him before we were discharged home.

@PragmaticWench She definitely has indents where the nails should be. Not seen by a paediatrician at hospital - we didn't even notice until we got home. She was having blood taken from her heel often at hospital and nobody mentioned anything.
