VQ when I was primary school age I was on gaviscon for ages for reflux. It was awful, the first time I got it I thought I was having a heart attack and I was going to die. Then it was diagnosed as 'just reflux'. Certain foods used to set it off and I couldn't have anything fizzy at all. I got another bout again when I was pregnant with DS2 and I hope I never get it again. So anyone telling you a one-year-old can't have reflux is completely clueless. And if they tell you it isn't reflux then what is it? Babies don't normally throw up night after night for weeks on end. There is clearly something wrong with the poor little lad.

He is on 20mg Omeprazole at night. I tried splitting the dose with no change.

That is helpful Stunt, and I am looking to get probiotics too.

BigPigLittlePig · 01/04/2014 10:00

VQ ((hugs)) that is what we were told too. If it weren't for the fact that Pass amongst others, has had a fab paed who knows what they're on about, I wpuld have accepted that. But happy rotund babies by day who do not stay that way overnight isn't right. Poor J Sad What's his weight doing do you think?

ValiumQueen · 01/04/2014 10:43

I will weigh him shortly BP. He still has a fat tum (genetic?) but tat could be bloat.

ValiumQueen · 01/04/2014 10:44

THAT!

PetiteRaleuse · 01/04/2014 10:45

soph that came round quickly, I hope it's going as well as it can.

Hope you get some answers vq

Sophiathesnowfairy · 01/04/2014 11:39

Hope it goes well vq you must be v drained.

Not sure how it's going I am hungry and need a break. Not sure what will happen. Taking it one step at a time. Have deleted a squillion emails!

Lily311 · 01/04/2014 11:58

Operation done, apparently it was a success. Still in hospital bed, will get discharged later. It hurts but hopefully it's worth the suffering.

vq I live in the safest building of town. It's a gated new built with cctvs everywhere covering all floors and lifts and entrances. Getting in is nearly impossible but getting out is as hard as well. The door is not breakable, you will need to get the fire brigade out. I feel very safe there but worried that If i collapse than o would not be heard for quite a while. My brother and parents have keys and my parents call me every day to check on us, we have an agreement that if they can't get hold of me for 24 hours than they need to come. Written down it sounds like a fort with all kind of safety precautions taken but I panicked quite a lot about me dying with a small baby in the flat.

Lily311 · 01/04/2014 11:59

sophia hugs. Are you working away already or from home?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 01/04/2014 12:59

Glad everything has gone ok lily do you feel sore?

I am at home for the next three weeks but only for a day or so, I have booked the remaining days off holiday. I have a couple of flights booked but no more than that as I don't know what will happen.

BigPigLittlePig · 01/04/2014 13:08

F has just found felt tip pens. And discovered that they make wonderful swirly marks on stuff. Like the floor. Or ones socks Hmm.

Sophia work sucks. Boo to that.

I'm glad it went well lily. Hope your parents spoil you and give you a well earned break.

Fs "growth spurt" continues. After waking at 9, she had a nap in the car at 11 Shock. Have booked gp appt for Monday, so listen out for the roooooaaaaar.

Talking of roars, wonder how vq is getting on at the gp?

ValiumQueen · 01/04/2014 13:10

Doctor says Noro Virus or Roto Virus. No shit Sherlock! That was fucking worth the hour wait. Have a bottle for a poo sample and dioralite. We are all in the same boat apparently, and kids get bugs. And still insisting it was infected eczema. Had a cats bum face when I said I got a second opinion and he was much better with the different treatment.

Glad op went on Lily. Hope it is a success and not too sore. How is your face? I think it makes sense what you say about your flat. You are pretty sensible to have a daily check. I get why you have the fears, and you are an awesome mummy looking out for your baby so xxx

BigPigLittlePig · 01/04/2014 13:36

Sounds helpful VQ [sarcastic face]

ValiumQueen · 01/04/2014 13:45

Grin BP

ValiumQueen · 01/04/2014 13:46

Has the pen washed off ok?

BigPigLittlePig · 01/04/2014 13:56

Yes off the floor. Socks may have taken a hit though. It was/is a fetching turquoise shade.

Sun has finally melted away the fog so am off to sow lawn seed whilst little piggy naps.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/04/2014 14:28

You can get those baby crayola pens that really can be washed out of everything.

Except the wallpaper in my spare rom. Won't bloody come off that. Everything else is fine though.

GTbaby · 01/04/2014 14:32

Lily not ott at all. I have similar fear of something happening to me and the boys being alone at home. How long until someone realises.
This was made worse by dexter. If you have seen it you know which bit I mean. I was kind of irrational for next few days with what would happen, what would H do. How would he react.

Ok nice thoughts everyone. Need to stop thinking about this again.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/04/2014 14:41

That scene from Dexter was awful :(

ValiumQueen · 01/04/2014 14:41

Shall we go back to cock jokes?Grin

PurplePidjin · 01/04/2014 15:00

when did r get clever enough to know that putting his freshly baked cake in the fridge will cool it down quicker?!

he was grouping so i handed him the hot (not burning but too hot to eat) cake, he solemnly handed it back and pointed at the fridge!

Shock Grin Shock Grin Shock

PurplePidjin · 01/04/2014 15:01

sorry, i could only manage a change of subject not a smutty joke Sad

GTbaby · 01/04/2014 15:19

PP r is so cute.

Nap avoiding A has finally fallen asleep!

Started AF today. Weird as I haven't dropped a feed recently but A actually ate his weetabix today, swallowing rather then dribbling it back out. So I guess it's meant to be. Better start taking my pills!

PetiteRaleuse · 01/04/2014 15:58

What do you get when you cross an owl and a rooster?

A cock that stays up all night long.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 01/04/2014 16:11

Ha.
