I'm having a baby, and have realised that I've never looked after one (cooed other loads of them, changed the odd nappy even, but never been in full charge). And I have to learn because in a couple of months, the nurse is going to hand me a real life one and say "off you go qazxc, you're in charge of this tiny, fragile human being. And no there's no training or instructions manual".
So I need to study (i don't even know how you know a baby has burped after a feed for example), what books did you find useful? Or is there always going to be an amount of winging it and hoping for the best?
