Fourth period since I a gave Birth and it's weird! Help?

OK I've had 3 periods since the birth of my ds nearly 20 weeks ago, the other 3 were every 28 days exactly but the third one lasted for 10 days. I came on today after 34 days and it's sticky rather than runny (sorry tmi) and very very dark brown , almost black with little clotty bits it isn't heavy at all just weird. Could it be possible my body is still getting rid of any pregnancy products ths late on?

sorry cant help, but bumping for you. my periods returned around 9 months after (probably later actually, cant remember) and they took a while to become regular and 'normal' i put this down to bf dd till she was 18 months. I would worry more if i had mid cycle bleeding or bleeding on and off, ie bleed for 5 days, then not for 7 then again for 3 for example. Call the hv and ask, they should know. Though i would see my gp as my hv is useless.

Thanks Spinach i'm not overly worried but can't believe it's taking this long to get back to normal especially as I only bf my ds for 3 weeks I managed 14 weeks with my dd and still came on when she was 10 weeks with no problems.
