Hi,

Im 29 weeks pregnant and already planning what I will do to feed my need to socalise once I finish work as the thought of being stuck in at home all day fills me with dread. Im fairly new to Bracknell area so dont have many local friends although hope to make some when I start NCT classes in a few weeks, I just wondered if anyone knew of any good groups to go to once baby is born etc.

Thank you

Oooh, i can help you! Congratulations on being pregnant! I live and work in Wokingham as a nanny so tend to go to toddler groups in town. Saying that im on mat leave at the moment with my 9 week old. The bradbury centre in Wokingham has a nct free bumps and babies coffee morning which is every 2 weeks. That is on tomorrow from 10am i think, try looking on the nct webpage or join Wokingham mummies on fb. The rose street toddler group is on every Thur am from 9.20 till 11am i think. That is a lovely tg. Theres the 4321 club tg at the huge church in town on a tue am. Theres a pregnancy yoga class on a sat am at the warr clinic in wokingham if that interests you, the teacher vikki is great and i made friends that way. I will give you some more ideas later as im off out. Smile

There used to be a toddler group next to morrisons in woosehill on a tue, that one is nice! That may still be running. A toddler group in Bracknell at the baptist church i think, its on the road leading up to the leisure centre. Thats on a wed but can get very busy as they use the church for big meetings. In twyford there is a music group on a thur called teddies, you can prob google it.

Your welcome, your health visitor may give you some info after you have had your baby regarding a post natal group in bracknell.
They also do toddler groups and baby clinics (to see health visitors for questions etc) at sure start centres in the local area (again you can google it) Also look on other forums for local info!

Oooh, you never know when baby will turn up. Do you know what you are having?
