Well done myermay :-))

I have lost another 1lb this week so down to 9st 3lbs now. I don't know how, I've been eating far too much this week.

I'm finding it really hard, especially when feeling tired after working and missing dd, then I want to comfort eat. I'm down to 9st3lb, so lost a bit. Will have my body fat measured again tomorrow too.mm have you tried making up batches of healthy food and freezing them, thats what I do, or just eating a quick salad or jacket potato, they're a bit healthier and quick, although I have to avoid eating chocolate after and putting loads of butter on my spuds! Cottage cheese was my diet fad last week, helped keep my lunches low fat. Anyone got any other ideas for low fat eating, it might be good to share ideas. We've got a weight loss/healthy eating club at work and they give us challenges each week, last week we had to keep a food diary, eat at least one portion of brocolli and have a brisk 15-30min walk at least once. Didn't finish the food diary but managed the rest. I can let you know what this weeks suggestions are when they come through if you're interested.

Oops. Forgot to check in here on Monday. I did weigh myself and was 9st 7 1/2. I've given up beer during the week. Andlast night and tonight I just had some veg for dinner. Tonight it was plain green beans. And I'm still hungry. But too bad. Fatty must go to bed now.

And tomorrow night I'm off to get a nice facial after work. It was half price... so what the heck. Some nice calorie free pampering for me.

Hope everyone is well. Speak to you soon.

9st 4lbs this morning :-( It was after my shower though with wet hair because I forgot. I admit that I didn't diet last week, had a week off but today I am trying really hard again.

well no weight loss from me since the 1 lb over 2 weeks ago... Its so depressing as I am trying 100%. I have cut out all chocolate during the week and weekends choc is very limited. I am not the type to eat a bar in one go so my treat is about 2-4 pieces. I have breakfast, lunch and dinner and no snacks. During the week at night I allow myself a couple of jaffa cakes. Have cut out bread, pasta potatoes etc.Alcohol is non existant although I am on a girls night out tonight for the 1st time in 3 months.
I did go to the gp's a few wk ago and she thinks it may be due to the ad's I am on......she advised me to get myself sorted on the pnd and then focus on the weight. Its getting me down to much... Suppose she is right. I will continue eating how I am though as it's a healthier lifestyle.

One good thing....I bought a dress for tonight from jane norman and it fits!! ..size 14..!!!! ..!

Is anyone else having real trouble in motivating themselves? I still haven't dieted this week and I know I will not have lost weight. My problem is that while my body is far from perfect, I am a healthy weight, I am genuinely happy with my body, my dh is more than happy with it and the only reason for me to diet is for other people to think I'm really thin. Is that a good enough reason I wonder? Or is it an excuse because I hate dieting? Answers on a postcard please...

Thanks Myermay, I appreciate it! You're right, I really do need to tone up more than lose weight, I've still got the saggy baby belly. I think I'm a size 13 which is quite irritating, size 14 generally tends to be too big and size 12s are a little bit too tight to be comfortable. I'm squeezing into 12s atm. Maybe if I tone up, it'll help.

I totally agree with you two. pre baby I was size 12 although I did manage to fit into the odd size 10..mainly tops etc.

Now post baby I am a size 14 top but size 16/18 bottoms but I honestly don't think I look that size which is the most irritating. TBH I am the same about by saggy tummy...I need the bigger size to fit my tummy into.

I am happy most of the time but sometimes I wish I was waif like although I know dh would be mortified...I would love to loose weight off my bum and hips but these have always been my problem areas. The last month I can honestly say I have tried my best with watching what I eat..I am now going to throw myself into continuing with the exercise. DH bought me a stepper 2 weeks ago which I have used most days.

Oh well suppose we are never happy whatever we have!!

Logic I would also be overjoyed being your weight and size .

LittleB · 06/02/2006 12:38

I'm down to 9stone 1lb now, so its gradually going down. Logic if you are happy with how you are and you are healthy I really wouldn't worry about loosing weight. I think we've all got that saggy belly which needs toning up. Shhh sorry to hear that you are feeling down it probably is easier for you to get the ads sorted first, and healthy eating can only help, isn't it supposed to help depression too?
I'm really loosing weight as I don't feel happy about the way I am, I'm a size 12 now and would like to be a 10 again (when I met dp I was an 8). Also the body fat measurement put me at over my range so I know I need to loose some weight for health - I'm quite a petite build.
I'm glad its gradually going down but I need to excercise more, I only really do alot of walking at the moment which isn't going to tone my belly. Are any of you using excercise videos - what would you recommend.
Good luck everyone.

Oh no where is everyone - did I kill the thread? I had my body fat percentage measured and its gone up, which doesn't make sense as I have lost weight, but apparently I was dehydrated and that made it high so its not very accurate after all. This week I've out on a Lb and its only going to get worse as its my 30th birthday Friday and I'm not dieting on my birthday. Will have to start again next week. How is everyone else doing, what works well for you all?

logic · 16/02/2006 15:46

I'm not on a totally strict diet, I'm stil having the odd packet of crisps etc and I'm still 9st 3lbs. I would love to get below 9st though. My jeans feel a lot looser though which is nice!
