Any ideas on what you think will be happening? I work in an information department, so presumably anything related to (previous) government targets (waiting times, cancer, choose and book) is likely to vanish. What about choose and book in general? How about System1?

SPBHatesFootball · 08/06/2010 12:11

oh yes, that will be an easy one - not saying I agree but people get quite passionate about how it should save lives before it creates new ones

Wasn't one of the manifesto pledges that NHS spending would be ringfenced and therefore protected from cuts?

Middle management are going, not sure how they propose getting rid of them.

Nurses also being re depolyed, those retiring, leaving etc are not bieng replaced.

Nursing teams such as outreach and night teams are threatened with disbanding.

This will leave patients vulnerable and at risk.

The nuses at my hospital are very worried for thier jobs, all others not shop floor are actually shitting themsleves literally will be fighting for their jobs.

Very very worrying times ahead.

Very much depends on the financial position of your Trust.

StealthPolarBear · 09/06/2010 17:14

at not replacing nurses
cos there are too many of them and they have too much time on their hands, obviously
