Should I muzzle DS#1 on the subject of the election?

When we visit my tory-voting parents tonight?
Over the last few weeks the DC have heard quite a few ...erm.. forcefully expressed leftish political comments. And both the eldest 2 have started saying things as well. You know, intelligent well-thought out opinions such as 'the tories are crap' . DD even started ranting on about private education - I found myself in the unusual position of having to defend private education and the rights of parents to pay for it
We have bred 2 little class warriors. Should I tell them to keep their views to themselves just for tonight

OrmRenewed - it appears to me that your 'Tory loving' parents somehow bred a left wing daughter - if they are chilled about that, they may be chilled about their GS's views.

If your political views were a result of your parents encouraging you to think for yourself and not just ape them - then don't be surprised if they try and help your ds to widen his political horizons too.

If your views are a reaction to theirs - best of luck (and yes a muzzle might be a good idea)!

My views stemmed from my experiences when I left home and started to think for myself. Yes they did encourage me to do that but I suspect they didn't really expect me to take it so far

We don't talk politics. It's not worth it.

I would just say that you've got no idea who filled their heads with such arrant nonsense. It must have been one of those progressives, like those we saw demonstrating outside Number 10 last night.

I may just do that claig.

TSK at such lefty nonsense!

You should be pleased - my DD1 has just informed me that "David Cameron is the kindest man in the world"

Clearly I have not been indoctrinating her NEARLY enough with my left-wing principles !

your DD1 will go far, very perceptive
