What does the Home Secretary do now then? Is it Ken Clark as Justice Secretary now?

I swear they'd save a shed load of money if they stopped changing the departments around all the time, plus I'd be less confused, about something in life anyway

beanlet · 13/05/2010 16:04

How much do you reckon they spent on the last department name change -- Dept of Children Schools and Families, carving off Universities and creating Business Industries and Skills?

Now schools and universities, in one stroke of the pen, are back under Dept of Education. How much is that going to cost?

Fuzzywood · 13/05/2010 20:37

Guess it depends how far they go really, there were certainly plenty of visible changes last time like signs outside the buildings etc. Add to that all headed paper (i'm assuming they still use this) business cards and that type of stuff, design agency for the new logos..... Company I worked for re-branded a few years back (same name but different font, logo, corporate colour) and it was into the hundreds of thousands. It scares me how much it could be, we owe billions and they can waste money on stuff like this!
