Fair point. And apparently he might get head of the IMF next year. Suspect he'll make a better fist of that than Blair has of bringing peace to the Middle East. (Do you think they only gave him the job out of a sense of irony?)

Nope - stood down as PM and leader of the party but will remain a backbencher.
