Can we laugh at people who are right wing being injured in a plane crash, then?

Has anybody checked on the politics of the pilot, who I think was quite badly injured?

It's a single transferable joke. Had [insert name of extremely left wing politician - if you can find one - I don't think I've seen one since 1972] been in a plane crash then I'll leave you to work out for yourself what the punch line would be.
