What happens if it comes down to Thirsk and Malton...? Or won't that happen?

Just seen that's 27th May - does it ever come down to one seat?

In theory yes but as its an 'ultra-safe' seat (presumably Conservative?) I think that in any discussions in the event of a hung parliament they can assume the result with some confidence.

every party will be throwing the kitchen sink at it in terms of volunteers, though, so could be an upset.

It came down to one seat in the last Scottish election - the SNP got one seat more than Labour.

The Tories will be adding that to their total already.

There are 650 seats so taking that out will make it 649, which is an odd number, so it shouldn't have any effect at all....
