Where have you slotted *voting* into your schedule tomorrow?

I am doing it first thing in the morning so that I don't run out of time later in the day and waste my vote!

Have you planned at what point you will be voting tomorrow or will you just go when it takes your fancy?

I so hope we wake up to a sunny day on Friday with lovely blue skies!

Yes, fairly certain I had DD in a sling last time I voted (she was definitely with me, but small possibility she was in the pram).

gingercat12 · 05/05/2010 20:25

We decided to come home from the office together with DH, pick up DS from nursery, and then vote en route home.

My parents always took me to the polling booth, so I insist on taking my DS.

NomDePlume · 05/05/2010 20:27

First thing in the morning after dropping DD at the childminder (poling station is opposite childminder) and before going to work. Around 7.30am

Ds's school is our polling station, so instead of dropping him off in the morning we'll pop in to vote and then he'll come into work with me. So it'll be about 8.30.

fishie · 05/05/2010 20:30

i will have gone to work before polling station opens, but hopefully it will still be open when i get back from the pub in evening.

hopefully dh will forget i am going to pub and not vote during the day, thereby disenfranchised. we do not have similar political views.

loulou77 · 05/05/2010 20:33

Thank you greensnail and everyone else...you have just saved me a load of hassle and given me at least one interesting thing to do with the children tomorrow! I was going to wait until evening when someone could watch the children for half an hour

Wineonafridaynight · 05/05/2010 20:38

Undecided. May slip in on the way to work but that will depend on what time I'm up at! Otherwise once I've dropped my car at home.

duckyfuzz · 05/05/2010 20:39

I knew I wouldn't be able to, so I've already postal voted

Northernlurker · 05/05/2010 20:46

I can't decide....get out the house v early and vote with dd2 and grumpy dd3....or leave work on time and thus have time to go vote then pick them up.....I'm going for the latter option I think. There is a polling place at the end of our road but it's not our polling station (WHY NOT?) so I have to take a diversion Grrrrh!

gingertoo · 05/05/2010 20:57

DH and I are going to walk down to the polling station after tea with the kids.

I'm leaving it until then because I'd like the older ones (11 and 9) to see what's going on and DH and I can take it in turns to wrestle with DS3 (2) while the other one votes

feedthegoat · 05/05/2010 20:59

Polling station is near school so I'm going to call after pre school drop off at 9am. Prime time I'm sure, but it gets it over with.

charlieandlola · 05/05/2010 21:03

On the morning school run, so dcs can put the X where I tell them, so about 745am.

Bramshott · 05/05/2010 21:05

Luckily I can see the polling station from my front window, so I will probably pop in as soon as I have a spare minute (about 9.55pm then!).

Janos · 05/05/2010 21:09

If we can leave early enough (hah) on the way to work (just before 8) as my polling station is next to the bus stop, or on the way home circa 5.30pm..which is more likely.

scottishmummyofone · 05/05/2010 21:12

either in the morning in between dropping dd off at my mums and going to work, or around 7pm when dh gets home (and can watch dd)

pinkfizzle · 05/05/2010 21:15

I postal voted - shame as I think I would have changed my vote if I voted tomorrow and I enjoy the walk to the polling box and enjoy seeing our neighbours...

ElizabethWakefield · 05/05/2010 21:16

DD's school is closed tomorrow as it is the polling station, so once her granda picks her up in the morning, I will go to vote on my way to work (unless I or granda are running late) then i will vote in the evening, after I have come back from the cinema with DD (a bribe to get her to spend the day with her granda helping him do his cleaning job )

MoreCrackThanHarlem · 05/05/2010 21:18

Work til 3.30, drop dd at dancing at 4.30 and collect her at 7

could do it whilst she is in her dance class but she likes to come and I want to set an example that voting is something all adults do

so probably around 7.15, with dd, on our way home
she does have a tendency to be quite forthcoming with her opinions though
she will probably natter loudly about the BNP
and tell the world and his wife who I'm voting for

4andnotout · 05/05/2010 21:23

I will be voting on my walk home from school in the morning, I feel very strongly about voting and can't believe some of my friends can't be bothered!

Certainly not hoping for blue skies here.

PiratePrincess · 05/05/2010 21:24

After I pick the boys up from football after school.

I still can't decide though - I like the manifesto of one, the people of another and the conviction of yet another...

bluejeans · 05/05/2010 21:24

On the way home from work at 5:30pm - and hoping this will jog my memory to pick up DD from different from usual location due to normal venue being used as polling station (although not ours!) Usually on autopilot at that time of day...

BrownNotCameronPlease · 05/05/2010 21:30

Going to work at 745 getting kids (day off school-school used as polling station)(am a nanny) dragging them all the way back up here then voting!

Wouldve liked a postal vote but 10y wanted to see what it was like going to vote!

BigTillyMint · 05/05/2010 21:33

On my way home from work to pick up the DC from ASC.

DH will be taking them with him when he goes to vote after their swimming - they are dead keen to see what happens, and are talking about getting up really early on Friday morning to see what the results are.

BigBadMummy · 05/05/2010 21:57

Our polling station is right opposite my house so I will be lucky if I can get out of the drive tomorrow with blardy people parking all over the road.

I shall wander over early and get it out of the way or before I know it, 4pm will be here and it will be domestic chaos time.
