Kind of puzzled why any parent who depends on childcare would vote for a party that has vowed to axe nursery vouchers/tax credits.
More than HALF my GROSS income will go on nursery care come August. I am a hard-working, independent, highly-skilled professional but without any help towards childcare (which is essential for me to work and contribute to the economy), I may simply not be able to go out to work at all.
It has always seemed crazy to me that childcare isn't tax deductible, but at least nursery vouchers etc helped a bit. Without them, things look very bleak.
