The vote that will benefit my household will not (in my opinion) be good for the nation as whole. so I'm kind of stuck between reality and my principles. Tricksy.

Locally I can't stand our Labour MP and I like our Tory guy and what he wants to do locally (I've not been canvassed by the Lib Dems ). So locally I don't feel that I can vote labour because our MP is such a tosser but equally I can't put a right winger in the House on principle. So I'm left with Lib Dem, our alternatives are BNP (!), Greens (sorry, no) and 2 independent nutjobs with half a policy between them (one far right and the other seems to be based on preserving our internet privacy laws). Lib Dem it has to be then really, but I haven't even seen the person who I am supposed to be voting for which makes me a wee bitty cross.

I'd say if the three main parties don't appeal either choose the candidate you like best for your area or vote green.

Don't shut your eyes or you may accidentally vote BNP.

Have just voted. In the end it came down to doing DipDipDoo, CatsGotFlu Dogs Got Chickenpox OutGoesYou.

Out went the Cons.

Seems like as good a way as any to decide.

It's a very very safe Con seat so I don't suppose my vote for labour is going to matter.
