no reply from the tory candidate or the lib dem candidate.
All I got from the SNP guy was a pre written type of email asking if I was 'scunnered' and spelling my name wrong
But the labour candidate wrote me a very nice, lengthy email addressing my two main concerns - disability/equality and chilcare.
She said she'd make her office more accessible, has served on an equalities group and would be happy to meet with me in my home any time
also she says:
"we have a policy of introducing free nursery places for 2 year olds. In the first instance this will be for children of low income families but the goal is to have free universal childcare for all 2 year olds. Labour at Westminster would introduce this policy."
apparently prior to the SNP coming to power in the scottish elections, scottish labour were undertaking pilots in 2 year old nursery provision which the SNP scrapped, otherwise, by now my 2 year old could have benefited (we are really struggling re childcare at present).
anyway, it was nice of her to take the time to reply.
has anyone else contacted their candidates and what have they thought?
