Gordon Brown's 'bigot' faux pas

Anyone heard this yet? Just caught it live on R2 Jeremy Vine show - a real car crash political media moment. Bet someone's getting screamed at now. Wouldn't want to be Sarah Brown, or anyone else unfortunate enough to be around him tonight.

This is why (amongst other reasons) we need to get this government out. Whatever they may say publicly, privately they treat us with contempt. How dare we, the stupid British public, question anything they do or say? And woe betide anyone who dares to express concerns about the level of immigration and the pressures it has put on public services. We are clearly just an irritating thorn in his side, a bunch of racists and bigots, and the PM's staff should be protecting him from having to answer questions from the likes of us. Gordon just put a huge nail in his own coffin.

TIGGY I'm afraid all politicians are the same. I recently met Cameron, and expressed concerns on a number of issues, which he more or less dismissed. I gave him a real roasting, he was very pleased when I left. I bet he called me all the names under the sun, once I was out of earshot!

daftpunk · 29/04/2010 16:25

Crystal....there you are..!

I've just caught up on your UKIP thread, thought you'd left...y'know...job done and all that...

BNP are loving all this...GB, what a twit...lol

crystal123 · 29/04/2010 17:05

DAFTPUNK Great to hear from you, I was very pleased the UKIP post lasted so long. I also think GB a twit, but as I say he could not have answered the poor woman in any other way, it was a shame he had to spoil it for himself by being so two - faced. It does give ammunition to the BNP, as you know I'm no supporter or fan of theirs, but a great many working class people from all racial backgrounds will now think "he doesn't give a toss about us, or our views on immigration", its a dangerous place for him, and his activists! I wouldn't like to be campaigning on the doorsteps of Bootle if I were them!

crystal123 · 29/04/2010 17:06

DAFTPUNK See you later in the evening.

daftpunk · 29/04/2010 17:11

Crystal...NG is organizing some advertising as we speak....GB's comments haven't gone down well with floating Labour voters...they think GB doesn't give a toss about immigration...and they're right....we've always known that...

You can't say anything in this country anymore...the mere mention of immigration and you're a racist bigot....
and that's coming from the fucking top all the way down...

daftpunk · 29/04/2010 17:13

Laterz....

b4real · 29/04/2010 23:36

DAFTPUNK I live in hope....I think that immigration will come much more to the fore than it ever has, the fear of mentioning the i word will become a thing of the past, and we will be able to debate it in a serious manner. If we go the same way as the PIGS, Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain, and they leave the euro-sone their well may be a disintergration of the EU and we will once more be a sovereign country. The EU will do the work of UKIP and hand us back our country, for all our sakes I hope so.
