It's the MN dream team!

I'm afraid Jimmy Carr will be on it too. But that's how you'll know it's time to go to the loo and make tea.

OMG - too fab.

ShadeofViolet · 21/04/2010 12:48

Tonight!

Wills et my reminder, and DH isnt here to complain about 'more bloody politics'

preggersplayspop · 21/04/2010 12:48

That's my telly sorted for that evening then.

MarthaFarquhar · 21/04/2010 12:48

I know it sounds good, but really you simply can't forsake Uncle Peter and his trusty swingometer. You just can't.

preggersplayspop · 21/04/2010 12:50

Maybe C4 will fork out for a swingometer for them? [hopeful emoticon]

CatIsSleepy · 21/04/2010 12:53

wer-hoo!
(but boo to Jimmy Carr)

policywonk · 21/04/2010 12:57

Not tonight Violet - election night. And, erm, who's Wills? (Apologies if I've completely misunderstood you there)

Yes I know what you mean Martha. But I watched the Beeb's coverage of Obama's election and it really stank . Dimbleby was awful. Just like a swing voter in a godforsaken crap town, I think I'm ready for a change.

ShadeofViolet · 21/04/2010 12:59

Oh crap, was getting all excited then!

sharbie · 21/04/2010 12:59

Oh why can't we have CB for PM....

doggiesayswoof · 21/04/2010 13:00

noooooo not Jimmy Carr

I can't watch him

What will I do? I love the other two.

MN dream team indeed

posieparker · 21/04/2010 13:01

Brilliant!

ShadeofViolet · 21/04/2010 13:01

I meant - will set my reminder. My computer is doing funny things today!

policywonk · 21/04/2010 13:03

Ah right violet. I thought you were saying 'Wills ate my reminder'. I was thinking, huh?

OP posts:
aquavit · 21/04/2010 13:14

That is just brilliant: usually fall asleep to follow elections avidly on Radio 4 but this will see me switching on the telly.

I can't stand Jimmy Carr either but had a dream about him the other night - ugh, and, very confusing.

WebDude · 21/04/2010 13:17

Isn't Charlie Brooker the obnoxious chairman of some TV quiz show about TV? Sorry, been out of touch with TV for 30 months and on checking the channels find a lot of repeats and a lot of junk.

Then again, it might be aimed at people half my age, so I should perhaps vegetate with "The Champions", "The Professionals" and "On the Buses" (yuk, I only added that for a joke!)

gingercat12 · 21/04/2010 13:22

Great!

policywonk · 21/04/2010 13:23

aquavit, would you like some bromide?

WebDude, there are so many panel shows about TV, I dunno whether he's the one you're thinking of. His was called 'You Have Been Watching', I think (never saw it). But he's brilliant, honestly.

I think that I do at least need to do a pregnancy test (or perhaps just refocus on Charlie Brooker)

I think CB might come across better when you are familiar with his written stuff - it makes more sense of his TV style, iyswim. But it's part of his charm that he's not groomed for TV

WebDude · 21/04/2010 14:06

OMG - I seem to have fallen into a thread full of the Charlie Brooker fan club...

Helenastar · 21/04/2010 14:23

I am in love with Charlie Brooker, seriously the man can do no wrong in my eyes, and he is very good looking.
