Why are elections won so marginally, globally?

It is my understanding that it's because people know that no matter who gets in power, coalition or not, they cannot solve the most profound global problems affecting our lives such as climate change, fianancial injustice, war and poverty because as all governments, even new ones fear the risk of damaging the competitveness of their industries. Because big business must invest in busniess friendly countries remind who ever is in power of this fact.

In other words, countries are prevented from solving global problems because tighter regulations in one country would mean business, jobs and investment moving to other, less regulated countries. Therefore, we need countries to work co-operatively with one another. That?s why Simpol Adopters around the world will be using our votes to make sure they do.

You can join in this drive for free and also set the global policy alongside others around the world!

I listened to the power of mumsnet on women's hour on my way to work a month ago.

I then made the campaign slogan "Parent the planet" as the first words on our web site as parents have first hand understanding of what responsibility means.
