Harriet Harman: what would you ask her?

I'm meeting Harriet Harman tomorrow - what would you ask her if you were me?

Not meeting in an MN capacity - but I'm very interested to know what you'd like to ask HH: as a minister (so general q's), and specifically as Minister for Women (and don't forget, Equality) - and of course, the GE campaign.

Any thoughts?

Who is the sexiest man in parliament?

Who has the most charm?

And who the most smarm?

Who is the fattest?

Who is the worst dressed?

Who smells and needs to discover deodorant?

onebatmother · 19/04/2010 22:36

Polly - was just looking at how your question might pan out - and discovered that Harriet Harman is 62!!!

Blimmin' eck. Who wants to ask the creme de la mer question?

Oooh! Coffee morning.

Yes, Trevor question probably not worth it.

She has a fairly smelly record on parliamentary reform - she was on the committee that was stonewalling everything just before the Telegraph started publishing.

tbh I am v envious and so am trying to get you thrown out

onebatmother · 19/04/2010 22:37

Beatitude: the frivolous/belittling question you seek is:
Who's got the biggest dic
tation backlog.

Would v much like to hear what she thinks about quotas for female representation in parliament, as per wot Len said

onebatmother · 19/04/2010 22:38

Why don't you come PW? 10-12 - you could get here?

Does she believe it is right for husband to be parachuted into a safe labour seat instead of a woman candidate?

What did GB actually say to her after she won the leader of the house vote?

So do you still think the Iraq war was a good idea considering the lack of WMD and the dodgie dossier?

How far are you taking the equality of women and when will you implement a bill making it mandatory for the man to carry the second child inside him?

onebatmother · 19/04/2010 22:48

LOL Atlantis.
Will try to ask the parachute q. I'm a bit of a drip in real life tho, tbh.

Good luck. Should be jolly interesting.

Molesworth · 19/04/2010 22:52

Second Lenin's q - what needs to happen to get more women into parliament (and how about more women judges too)

In light of discussions on another thread, what needs to happen to improve the pitiful conviction rate for rape?

And another pat on the back from me (already asked Justine on her thread) for her sterling work on gender equality.

onebatmother · 19/04/2010 23:00

thanks Molesworth - had seen your congrats on J's thread and determined that I would pass on.

Based on her and her families experience would she recommend that I send my DC to a private school, a grammar school, a faith school or a community school.

Molesworth · 19/04/2010 23:07

thanks onebat

onebatmother · 19/04/2010 23:12
